Stand in skipper Tim Hills lost the toss as Eastwood III elected to bat on the Hall Lane wicket as Havering had to field
in the soaring heat. A very good fielding and bowling performance restricted Eastwood to 79 all out. The wickets were
shared around but Tom Hine put in a magnificent bowling performance, standing out from the rest with figures of 4-19 after
his 5.5 overs. The other wickets went to William Waine (2-14 in 6 overs), Mitchell Walker (2-15 in 7 overs), Mark
Chinnery and Reece Beechey shared the other two wickets.
The wicket was criticized by the Eastwood players but Eddie
Wallace opened with Nick Hine as he went out with a vengeance. A blistering and devastating 59 (from the soon to be,
married man) won the game for Havering with Nick Hine giving fine support at the other end (11) as they carried Havering
to an easy 10 wicket victory inside 12 overs. A win for Tim Hills men as Havering 3s go marching up the table as they
eased to a comfortable victory over top-of-the-table Eastwood.
